Hope4HealthHOPE4HEALTH is a non-profit organisation and registered charity coordinated by Griffith University students. Their aim is to improve health outcomes for local, rural, indigenous and international communities.

This aim is primarily achieved through awareness raising activities for more than 600 members.  They also coordinate major corporate fundraising events for the health and business communities of South East Queensland.

The Kokoda Track FoundationThe Kokoda Track Foundation is an Australian philanthropic organisation which aims to repay the selfless help given to Australia during WWII by the ‘Fuzzy Wuzzy Angels’ of Papua New Guinea by helping to improve the lives and futures of their descendants.

It does that by assisting with their education and healthcare, by trying to protect their environment, by helping to foster the growth of an eco-friendly trekking and tourism industry from which they can benefit, by working to keep the story of Kokoda alive, and by seeking to identify and foster the next generation of PNG leaders.

The Foundation’s current projects include providing 152 school scholarships to students from villages along the Kokoda Track, funding educational supplies to 25 schools in the region, supporting the Kokoda Memorial Hospital with medicines and supplies, and constructing seed multiplication nurseries to help rebuild village food gardens destroyed by devastating Cyclone Guba.

The Kokoda Track Foundation work closely with the Australian Government’s AusAID programme - The Kokoda Track Development programme .

Back Track AdventureBack Track Adventures are a specialist adventure travel agent, who are involved with assisting communities in developing countries worldwide. Their interest in the people of Kokoda is based on their travels along the Track since 2002 and in particular their deep connection with all the people living along the Track and in particular those who live in Naduri Village where the majority of their trekking crew live.  Back Track conduct treks over the Kokoda Track during the Kokoda trekking season from April through to October each year.
